You can bring anything you think will make your dog more comfortable during his or her stay. That includes bedding, toys, and chews. Please be aware that these items may not go home in the same condition as when you checked in.

What vaccinations are required?

We require that all dogs be vaccinated against rabies, distemper and parvo. We strongly recommend that dogs be vaccinated against bordetella, but we do not require it.

What do I need to do before checking in for the first time?

All activity and grooming requests should be made when booking your reservation. Vaccination records should be faxed or emailed to us before arrival. Any special diets or medications should be clearly communicated to our receptionists upon check in, along with an estimated pick up time for your dog.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that plans change and you might not be able to let your dog stay with us as planned. During non-holiday periods, we request 24 hours notice. During holiday and peak boarding boarding times, we ask that you give us 72 hours notice so that we can let another family have your reserved room. Repeated no-shows and short notice cancellations will be required to leave a non-refundable deposit. First time clients are also required to leave a 50% deposit for holiday reservations.

What happens if my dog needs medical attention during his stay?

If your dog needs veterinary care during a stay with us during your vet’s business hours, we will work with you and your vet to schedule a same day appointment. If it is after hours or we can’t reach your regular vet for an urgent condition, we will utilize one of the local emergency veterinary hospitals. We will always make every attempt to contact you or your emergency contact to keep you informed. Any and all medical expenses will be added to your bill unless you make arrangements with the veterinary hospital for direct payment.

Can I see where my dog will stay?

Of course! We want you to feel completely comfortable with us and welcome you to tour our facility during regular business hours. It is not necessary to make an appointment, but we do request that you visit after 10 am and before 2 pm on the weekdays and between 10 am and 1 pm on Saturdays. Also please leave your pet at home for so we can focus on your questions and give you our undivided attention.

How old must my dog be to stay with you?

Puppies should be 12 weeks old and have a minimum of two sets of vaccinations against distemper and parvo. Rabies is required at 16 weeks of age.

Can my dogs stay together in the same room?

Our standard rooms can accommodate two dogs up to 50 pounds each. Dogs that cannot eat peacefully together must have separate rooms. Sometimes, we find that dogs that normally get along at home will get annoyed with each other and we reserve the right to separate dogs that are not getting along together.

Can someone other than me pick up my dog?

Yes. There is a place on the check-in sheet to authorize someone other than yourself to pick up your pet. You may also call us during your dog’s stay and let us know the name of someone else authorized to pick up. Please make arrangements to pay for your pet’s stay in advance or via a phone call.

Grooming FAQ

How old does my puppy have to be for his first groom?

We recommend puppies be 10-12 weeks old and have two sets of vaccinations for their first groom. Because we want puppies to have a positive experience, it’s important to tailor each puppy’s first groom to their personality. We don’t want to overwhelm puppies, so we take our time and let them get accustomed to the noises and sensations of grooming.

How much will it cost?

Grooming costs are based on size of the dog, coat length, coat condition, and needs of the dog. Please give us a call and our receptionists can consult with you to give you a best estimate.

How long will it take?

Most grooms take between 90 minutes and 3 hours, again, depending on the size and condition of your dog.

Can I drop my dog off in the morning and pick up late in the afternoon?

You can combine a grooming appointment with a half day of DayCamp for a fun Spa Day – a a great option if you need to leave your dog with us all day. Your dog will have a play time in the morning and be groomed later in the morning or early afternoon.

What type of shampoo do you use?

Our standard shampoo is a hypoallergenic, tearless shampoo with a very mild scent. As options, you may request oatmeal or medicated shampoo. In addition, if your dog has fleas, we will use a natural (no pesticides) shampoo to eliminate any live fleas on your dog. Additional charges will be added for dogs with fleas to cover extra facility cleaning, isolation, and express grooming.

My dog doesn’t like to be groomed. How will you handle him?

We will do our best to work with dogs that do not enjoy being groomed. We use a muzzle if needed, but only for as long as required. We may also call upon other team members for assistance with procedures like cutting nails or cleaning ears. Additional charges for challenging behavior may be added to your bill. In extreme cases, we will recommend that your dog would be better served having his grooming done under sedation at a local veterinary hospital.

Do you groom cats?

Currently, our grooming services are limited to dogs.
